Project Management

We have experienced, hands-on engineering staff to conduct:

  • Major project work and refits
  • New construction supervision
  • Heavy lift loadouts
  • Marine engineering project management
  • Drydockings
  • Offshore engineering
  • Towing arrangements

We undertook a $1,000,000.00 recommissioning of the former “HMAS MORESBY” for conversion to a refugee ship used for humanitarian work in East Timor. Over a two (2) year period the ship repatriated thousands of East Timorese back to their homeland. Maritime Engineers Pty Ltd staff have extensive new construction supervision experience in ship building, in particular tugs and offshore supply vessels.

Drydockings and superintendency is a speciality with several of our staff having held permanent superintendency positions for ship owners. Our staff have collectively been responsible for over eighty drydockings. We also have extensive experience with small craft, commercial fishing vessels and GRP, aluminium and timber construction methods.

MARITIME CONTRACTORS

Maritime Engineers Pty Ltd directors took the decision several years ago to form a separate marine contracting business, MARITIME CONTRACTORS to undertake project management and marine contracting as a separate distinct operation from the consultancy services provided by Maritime Engineers Pty Ltd.

MARITIME CONTRACTORS carry all appropriate marine and liability insurance to conduct contracting work and provide clients with a second support arm to our consultancy advice.
