Salvage, Wreck Removal, Shipbreaking & Disposal

With our associate diving contractor we have been involved in dozens of salvage and wreck removal tasks over the last fifteen (15) years.
Acting for Shipowners, P&I Clubs and Marine Underwriters, Maritime Engineers Pty Ltd have conducted and coordinated many complex salvages in remote areas around the West Australian coast.

We have acted as salvors in the salvage of four (4) trawlers sunk in Exmouth. Prior to that, we recovered a trawler, aground and dry on coral in the Ningaloo Reef Marine Park.
This vessel had 14 tonnes of fuel on board and the salvage was successful with no environmental pollution resulting. Complicated wreck removals have been conducted with our associate diving contractor. With our teamwork, we believe we offer the most complete service to Insurers and P&I Clubs in appraising the success of a salvage attempt, estimating repairs and mobilising suitable tugs and equipment quickly. A recent job in Indonesia proved to vindicate our expertise in these matters.

Recently we have been involved in the first commercial shipbreaking activity in Australia. With our joint venture partners we are able to meet the highest environmental, health and safety standards for this type of operation.
